3 Songs For July
1.8.16
Hi August how you doing ....
Seriously though I'm really surprised as to how fast this year is going and of course July has been a good month for new music to be released. On that note lets get on with it shall we ?!
Glass Animals - Youth
I have no idea how i've not listened to Glass Animals until now because they are so good ! Youth is a bit more upbeat than the sound from their first album. The band are releasing their 2nd album in September and I'm rather excited to hear the rest of their new stuff if its just as good as Youth. They are also going to be playing at Bestival this year which is exciting as its only up the road from me !
Don Broco - Everybody
The video for this is weird and comes with its own dance routine. Yes you read that correctly it comes with a dance routine. This song is so good. I've been listening to Don Broco for a year and i've wanted to see them live for a while and I'm finally getting to see them as they announced that they would be supporting Bring Me The Horizon on their UK arena tour. Just everything about this song is great and its one you can imagine going crazy when played live.
Honeyblood - Ready For The Magic
This song has been stuck in my head for weeks. I hadn't really heard of these until an advert for this song popped up on YouTube and of course i decided to check out the song to see what it was like and I'm now obsessed with this song. Honeyblood are Stina Marie Claire Tweeddale and Cat Myers who are a duo from Glasgow. They have a 2nd album coming out which is called 'Babes Never Die' and is out in November. I really suggest giving their music a listen if your a fan of punk and indie rock music.
Other favourite songs from July include the new song from Major Lazer , Justin Bieber and MØ which is called cold water and of course its really good. I didn't think i'd like this one but i actually think its pretty good and of course I'm really happy that they've featured Karen ( MØ) on this track with Justin Bieber so its rather crazy seeing her on a track with two major names in the industry. Wolf Alice also featured on the soundtrack for the new Ghostbusters film with their song ghoster which is rather different from any of their other stuff i've heard but its pretty good. What songs have you liked that have been released through out july ?! Also there better be some good stuff released this month as July has been pretty good for new music.
