Venue : The BIC (Bournemouth International Centre)

Fall Out Boy playing the BIC was basically their warm up show for the two nights at Wembley that they played on Sunday and Monday. Like most people they soundtracked childhoods across the world. Including my childhood as the song 'this ain't a scene' was a song i listened to when i was about 7 or 8 which is mental thinking about how long i have been listening to Fall Out Boy. A video played before they came out onstage and then suddenly the screen lifted up and revealed the band walking on stage. They burst into 'Sugar We're Going Down' which always seems to be a crowd pleaser.

Pete Wentz is literally one of my favourite people on this planet. He said "get in the f*****g sea" which i pretty much cried with laughter at then after saying that he then went on to say that it was appropriate as we were by the sea. They played songs from the new album and some rather older songs such as 'Grand Theft Autumn/Where Is Your Boy' which was really good live. They played two acoustic songs on a smaller stage at the back. They played Young Volcanoes which is one of my favourite Fall Out Boy songs. The acoustic version of Immortals was something special. If they played that song as a full band i don't think it would have been the same but it sounded so beautiful acoustic i pretty much zoned out during that song because it was so good.

Besides nearly getting hit in the head by some people next to me waving a flag and shouting wave the white flag during the phoenix whilst people were looking at me like what the hell it was a pretty good gig. I have seen Fall Out Boy before at last years festival and they were good then but this gig completely was 100 times better than seeing them play a festival set. There is a big difference between festival sets and being at a headline gig. Seeing the band perform their own show with their own production and own stage set up is something that i do enjoy a lot more than festival sets.

The next gig i am going to is Ella Eyre at the O2 Guildhall in Southampton ! I am super excited to be meeting Ella too as have VIP tickets ! Then in December Im seeing Lower Than Atlantis and I'm super excited to go to this one as I'm going to Camden for the first time and i have wanted to go there for a very long time and i have really wanted to go to a gig at the Roundhouse and its all going to finally happen in December !!!! I hope you liked this post and my other post from last month about Wolf Alice. You can click HERE.
