As i seem to like this festival a lot it only felt right to predict who could possibly get booked for next years Festival. Now in recent years Isle of Wight Festival has had some pretty amazing bands with some being festival exclusives. I have had a good think as to who i reckon might have a chance securing a slot at next years festival. The past two years i have managed to guess at least 2 or 3 bands that have played IOW before which i think is hilarious. If the ones i predict to be hopefully playing next year actually end up playing that will just be pretty spooky. 

Eliza and the Bear 
They have an album coming out next year which will probably lead to a tour and definitely the festival circuit. I have high hopes that these will probably be playing next year specifically in the big top on the Sunday in the exact slot that coasts had when they played this year. 

Foals 
This band have done pretty well for themselves. Their new album is amazing , they sold out an entire tour and are now playing the SSE Wembley Arena in 2016. Its safe to say they will probably end up destroying festivals next year as they are so good. If they play IOW i think they will probably be playing the main stage or also now know as the Electric Church. They have headlined Bestival before but they could possibly play before the headlining act on maybe the Friday. 

Jess Glynne 
After having to cancel her slot this year at IOW after falling ill could Jess be returning next year to make up for not being able to make it. 

Years and Years 
Another band that have done ridiculously well this year. From winning BBC's Sound Of 2015 , nominated for a brit award and releasing a debut number 1 album its obvious that 2016 is going to be even bigger. They would be perfect for the Saturday afternoon as i think the saturday tends to be more of a day for pop music. 

Oh Wonder 
These are set for a big year after selling out a tour , releasing their debut album and having one of their songs used in a tv programme on the title sequence i think 2016 could be rather huge. These are a big top band for sure. I think the big top is the place to be if you want to discover a new band to listen to.

Panic! At The Disco 
At IOW in the past bands such as You Me At Six and Fall Out Boy have both played previous years. I think Panic! would be great especially with their new album out in January besides i really want to see them so that'd be great if they played IOW.


Hozier 
This has been a massive rumour floating about since last year but could Hozier be taking to the main stage/Electric Church? If he played IOW it would be incredible i think. I have never seen him live but you could just imagine how blissful it would be on the Sunday chilling in the festival site with Hozier playing in the background. It would be like Jessie Ware as that was so chilled out. 

Wolf Alice
These are touring again next year so my only guesses are that they will be including the festival circuit again. It wouldn't surprise me if they were playing IOW in 2016 as they have seemed to of played every festival except for IOW. Maybe they are ones to look out for if they are placed on the line up. 

Florence and the Machine
After headlining Glastonbury after the Foo Fighters dropped out a few weeks before could Florence and the Machine maybe headline IOW in 2016 ? If you saw how amazing her Glastonbury set was then if she does play you won't be disappointed it was amazing ! 

Coasts 
This probably wouldn't happen as they played this year but could Coasts return to IOW and end up playing the main stage ? Their album comes out next year so I'm thinking they'll have a rather busy 2016 ahead of them but is IOW Festival on the cards for them again !

Foo Fighters 
They have played IOW a few times before but it would be great to have them back to headline again. Besides IOW is where its at in terms with line up. I think this years was pretty decent and they did rather well with getting brilliant bands and artists !

Those are all of the ones that I'm predicting to maybe get announced. This would be weird if the majority i have guessed end up getting announced for 2016. Not many rumours have been floating about people have been guessing but thats all the fun of a festival line up really to keep people guessing and waiting. I'd imagine that the line up announcements will be happening in December like last year. Headliner wise i reckon they will have to be huge to compete with the 2015 headliners that were Fleetwood Mac , The Black Keys and Blur. This would be a fab line up but who would you want to headline ? If i could i would have Green Day , Foals and AC/DC.
