Isle of Wight Festival 2015 !

21.6.15

I went to the Isle of Wight Festival last weekend and it was rather incredible and interesting this is what went down over the weekend !
Matt Barnes of You Me At Six
Steve of Kodaline

Chris Miller of You Me At Six
Friday :
So if you read my last post then you would have seen the alan thing. I finally witnessed the alan shouting and oh my god it was funny yet annoying. People were getting so confused and i was just there creasing up at the fact they were all shouting alan. YOU ME AT SIX WERE AMAZING AGAIN !!!!!! We saw Josh Franceschi on the side of the stage looking out to see the crowd so i decided to wave to Josh and HE WAVED BLOODY BACK AT ME AND MY FRIEND ! We literally had a freakout i shrieked and completely lost it  but they played a pretty amazing set. After that we left because i wasn't feeling to good and i was soaking wet because it poured down during their set and of course i was wearing jeans so when i took those of it was like peeling off a face mask because they had been rained on as for my WHITE converse they got covered in mud !

Ella Eyre

Twin Wild in the Big Top
Conor of Nothing But Thieves
Saturday :

Saturday was cool. Jess Glynne has become rather ill and isn't able to sing and is going in for vocal surgery soon. Her performance  at IOW this year ended up getting cancelled unfortunately however her replacement was incredible. Her replacement was Ella Eyre !! I love Ella so much she is amazing live. I was so happy she was Jess's replacement because she is so good live. So that happened along with an interview. I was interviewed by a magazine I'm not sure which one but they asked me if i had watched you me at six on Friday which i thought was hilarious considering i did watch them so it was an obvious answer really but why i do always end up grabbing the attention of people its hilarious its always me its great. Blur were ok they weren't amazing they were ok. They played songs from their new album The Magic Whip but i found that they could have mixed their setlist up so they didn't play all their songs from the new album first. Surprisingly Pharrell Williams was really good. I'm not a massive fan of him but seeing him live was really good not to mention all the children he brought up onstage to dance along to happy that was really sweet and then there was this woman and oh my god she was brilliant. Lets just say she was doing some rather interesting dancing in some very short sparkly hot pants along with being possibly in her late 40's early 50's but she was so funny though i don't think she's going to remember doing it because she seemed rather drunk it was great. We watched twin wild and nothing but thieves too they were really really good.

Sunday:

Chris of Coasts
Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac
We ended up seeing Sheppard's last song which Geronimo which was really good. We were barrier for Coasts and they were so good live but what was rather worrying was to how many words i knew to their songs. i do listen to them a lot but i was slightly concerned as to how well i knew their songs.Sunday was chilled really we sat in a patch of grass whilst First Aid Kit supplied the chilled out country vibes in the background. Paolo Nutini was ok. Paolo did older songs but changed them so you couldn't recognise them at all like he did jenny don't be hasty which sounded nothing like it all at i guess he was trying to make it fit with caustic love. Then the ones i had been waiting all weekend for. Well i say all weekend ive pretty much been waiting for this moment to happen since the age of 11 as ive been brought up on listening to Fleetwood Mac. Soon as the walked on stage i started crying in shock and happiness i couldn't believe that i was finally seeing Fleetwood Mac after waiting for so long. After all of the cancellations of tour dates in Birmingham and Manchester they managed to do their IOW Sunday headline slot which was good but people forget how old they are its ridiculous i saw a rant on instagram about this person who was furious that they played IOW and not the manchester date yet they had already seen them TWICE ALREADY !! People like that really need to stop they're not young anymore and if one of them gets ill they can't help it just except the fact they had cancelled. Fleetwood Mac were incredible , Stevie Nicks is my favourite person ever she's like a free spirit onstage twirling around with her tambourine and then dedicating landslide to Dave Grohl because of his leg.

Anyway that was how my weekend went i can't believe it went so quick like how did that even happen ! I had an interesting weekend to say the least !
