Festival season is nearly over. Crying all of the tears of sadness. As the summer comes to a close i wanted to share what i think are some bits of this years festival season !

Glastonbury

The high festival that everyone talks about ! This year saw the Foo Fighters having to drop out after Dave Grohl broke his leg falling off stage. Their replacement was Florence and the Machine which if you didn't see their headline set it was incredible i got rather emotional as it was probably one of the biggest headline sets Florence and the Machine have ever performed !

Lionel Richie's performance drew a similar sized crowd to what Dolly Parton had last year when she played the same slot. He also managed to get the security dancing away which i think happens most years as they did the same for Dolly's set last year. It was one of the most interesting sets i have ever watched and yes there was a lot of people in fancy dress from what i could see !

Isle of Wight Festival

With a rainy Friday and a worry that one of the headline acts might pull out at the last minute this years Isle of Wight festival was so good ! Pharrell surprisingly got everyone going by inviting people up onstage including the 'twerking lady' who sent the entire field of people watching into fits of laughter. Jessie Ware's spine tingling set managed to bring a chilled out vibe to the festival. By far one of the best female acts besides Ella Eyre who replaced Jess Glynne at the last minute.

It was Fleetwood Mac's return from cancelling two tour dates due to  illness that was the highlight of the weekend ! For anyone who is a huge fan like myself this was by far one of the most amazing sunday night headline acts i have seen ever since i have been going ! One of my personal highlights for me was being waved at by Josh from You Me At Six on the friday before their set ! If you want to read about my weekend at Isle of Wight Festival Click Here !

Slam Dunk

I have never been to Slam Dunk before and i would really love to go in the future ! This years headliners were You Me At Six ! They did the rare thing by playing some tracks off of their first album that was released on Slam Dunk Records. I think they played Always Attract which is one of my all time favourite songs of their's !

Many mosh pits happened from what i saw from many Instagram videos they were huge mosh pits in smaller spaces it looked terrifying !

Warped Tour U.S.A :

Being in the Uk we don't have the privilege of having the american version of Warped tour. Warped Tour is happening in the uk this year but the american line up this year. WOW ! is all i can say ! Pierce The Veil played every date i think even though they had a missing guitar player and had to get someone to step in during a injury recovery but from what i have heard they were pretty amazing ! Mallory Knox made their first Warped Tour appearance which apparently was amazing !

Reading and Leeds

I didn't watch any of the headliners because i wasn't really interested in the headliners this year ! The stand out band of reading on the Saturday was Bring Me The Horizon who gave a performance that proved that they could be future headliners ? 2016 headliners maybe who knows ! Foals played a huge secret set which soon as the word got out the radio 1/NME tent was rammed with eager people waiting for foals secret set to start !

Panic ! At The Disco played their only UK date of this year on the Friday and wow Brendon Urie's vocal ability never fails to scare the crap out of me. His vocal range is incredible and i think thats what sets off their set's being so amazing ! They also did a good cover of Queens Bohemian Rhapsody. Normally i don't like bands covering Queen but Panic! did it complete justice and they are the only band that i like covering Queen ! Speaking of covers Don Broco covered Fetty Waps song Trap Queen. It was a pretty good cover but whatever made them want to cover that song who knows but it was a good cover !

Bestival

Bestival has only just ended but from what i have heard it was pretty good ! Im guessing one of the highlights from Bestival was The Chuckle Brothers ?! Yes the Chuckle Brothers managed to fill a big top with 10,000 people watching them onstage ! I don't have a clue what they did but it seemed interesting.

The special guests had been rumoured to be Muse after a interview with Matt Bellamy saying that they were playing this years Bestival which of course sent everyone into meltdown. A few months later after this was all said the headliner was announced. Missy Elliot would be headlining the sunday which some how managed to disappoint people who were Expecting Muse which then lead to speculation of Muse being the special guests. Jump to a month or so this had been announced Muse said that they were not playing Bestival. Everyone had no idea until the Saturday of Bestival. Turns out the rather talked about special guests were House of Pain !

This years festival season has been a big one for speculation , big headliners and future headliners ! What were your festival highlights if you watched on the TV like me or went to any festivals ? Lets hope next years festival season is bigger and better than this years but I'm not sure if next years festival season is going to be able to top this years ! We will soon find out. Roll on festival season 2016 !!!!

 Speak soon ,
