As mental it sounds I'm really excited for the next few months as i've got so many bands to look forward to seeing. Wednesday 23rd September i went to see Wolf Alice. Now if you know me really well you would know that i had their song 'fluffy' on repeat for a few weeks back in may and ever since then i haven't stopped listening to the debut album My Love Is Cool.
When i go to gigs i always have to sit on the balcony as Im not a big fan of standing that much as I'm rather small. One thing about sitting on the balcony though is that most of the time when i sit there i always end up next to or sat behind someone to do with the band or one of the support acts. This time i ended up sitting near Joel which for those who don't know who he is he is the drummer from Wolf Alice. I didn't get a picture because I'm stupid and he left before i could ask as he was talking to his family that obviously had come to watch.
Anyway the Supports. Made Violent are so good i recommend listening to their E.P's as they are very very good ! One of my favourite songs of theirs is wasted days. At one point their singer/guitarist was on the floor playing his guitar it was great ! Ones too look out for in the future i think ! Drenge were the main support who caused a few bottles to fly into the air , crowd surfing and a massive mosh pit.
Wolf Alice were so good i really would want to see them again they were that good ! As they stepped on the stage you could really sense how excited everyone was for them to start running through the whole of their debut album. As their backdrop went from a slowly glistening twinkle during the slow songs which looked so beautiful during songs such as swallowtail and blush. If you ever get the opportunity to see Wolf Alice i would definitely go and see them ! Their UK leg of touring ends at Londons Brixton Academy then i think they are doing touring around Europe and the States. I think this has been one of my favourite gigs of this year that i have been to. I did get a rather cool t shirt and i got some gold wolf alice glitter which think is the best merch idea ever !
My next gig is Fall Out Boy and I'm travelling to Bournemouth to see them ! Im looking forward to next month to see Fall Out Boy again ! There will hopefully be a post about this and the other gigs that i am going to once i have been to them !
