6 Bands And Artists To Look Out For In 2016

18.11.15

I am always on the look out for something new to hear. Next year is going to be a pretty good year for a few smaller bands and artists that really deserve a much bigger audience ! These are a few that i think should have a lot more people listening to them next year !

1. Fickle Friends
I love these guys so much ! The female fronted band from Brighton are guaranteed to have a brilliant 2016 ! If you like the whole 80s kinda thing then your definitely going to love Fickle Friends ! If you want to catch these lot live next year they are on tour and its worth going along too if they are coming to a venue near you. Songs you should listen to - Say No More , Could Be Wrong and Play.

2. Jack Garratt
If you haven't heard any of Jacks music i suggest you listen to it right now for one reason. 2016 is going to be his year without a doubt ! I am so excited to hear his debut album which comes out early next year which isn't to long to wait ! There is such a huge hype over Jack its like the James Bay hype all over again.  I think there is a massive possibility that Jack could get nominated for a Brits Critics Choice Award. If you want to see him live you can catch him opening for Mumford and Sons on their tour and his headline date at Brixton Academy next April. Songs you should listen to - Breathe Life and Weathered

3. The Japanese House
Amber Bain has the most soothing voice its great. The Japanese House is her solo project which George Daniel and Matt Healy from the 1975 have produced along with Amber. Her music is like meditation for your ears. If you like The 1975 you will most likely really enjoy the songs 'Cool Blue' , 'Still' and 'Pools To Bathe In". You can see The Japanese House on tour next year playing various dates around the UK.

4. Roam
Something rather different compared to the other 3 but i literally like every genre of music ! Roam are a punk pop band from Eastbourne and are signed to Hopeless Records which is a huge punk pop label that has signed bands such as All Time Low and Neck Deep. Their music is most likely to get stuck in your head because its so good ! I think these are going to have a huge year ahead of them. With the release of their debut album and the Kerrang Tour 2016 which has Sum 41 and Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes. If you want to see Roam on the Kerrang Tour next year i would act fast because theres only 100 tickets left for a date in Cardiff along with other dates being sold out. A song you should listen to - Deadweight which is from their debut album called 'Backbone'.

5. Eliza and the Bear
I don't shut up about these to be honest. I discovered these i'd say around the end of 2013 and i've been obsessed with these ever since. Their debut album is due to come out at some point next year and you can pre order that right now if you want ! Its bound to amazing ! The acoustic versions of their songs are so calming its perfect if you want to relax or even if you need listen to music whilst go to sleep. Songs you should listen to - Lions Heart , Light It Up and Friends.

6. Anne-Marie
Ok so if you have seen Rudimental live they have multiple singers that tour with them. Anne- Marie is one of them and wow she has an incredible voice. When she released her debut e.p earlier this year i was super excited for the future for her. Then she released a song called 'Boy' which i strongly suggest you listen to that one because it is a tune and i don't normally say 'tune' but honestly it is so good. Anne-Marie is going on tour next year around the uk and will probably on tour with Rudimental as one of their vocalists. She also features on a few Rudimental songs on their new album 'We The Generation' to !

So that is all the bands and artists that i think are going to do well in 2016. I'm always looking for new bands and artists to listen to and love reading things like this as its a good way to discover bands and artists before they do become rather successful.
