Why Go To BST At Hyde Park 2016

British Summer Time is a series of concerts held in the summer at the glorious Hyde Park. In recent years it has seen bands and artists such as Taylor Swift , Black Sabbath and The Libertines. This year sees a wide variety of acts taking to the great oak stage over the course of a few weeks throughout July. Why do i recommend going to BST this year ? I recommend going purely because its ranges from the really cheesy pop trio Take That to the wonderful Florence and the Machine as well as the mighty Mumford and Sons who will all be at Hyde Park this year. So if you like any of those then its totally worth going to see them.
BST has plenty more bands and artists to offer besides the headliners. Take That will have Olly Murs , Ella Eyre , Nathan Sykes and Jamie Lawson who will be performing through out the day up and till Take That perform in the evening. Expect the unexpected from Take That is all i can say. Yes even though they might be for the older generation and yes they are super cheesy but they are also entertaining which makes everything worth while. Like i mentioned Ella Eyre will be performing on the day too so do not miss out on her because she's amazing live.
If Take That is not for you then how about Florence and the Machine ? Last year she showed that she was capable of headlining one of the biggest festivals in the world and now she's playing her own gig at Hyde Park which is something you totally don't want to miss out on ! You really don't want to miss out on seeing Kendrick Lamar either after his performance at the Grammys and his sweep of awards at the Grammy this year. Even if Kendrick is not your thing on the day there will be other artists performing such as Jamie XX and Blood Orange who are just as equally amazing. I think its a strange line up but it works rather well i think.
And last of all Mumford and Sons are playing BST too. If Flo and Take That don't really persuade you to go then you need to see Mumford and Sons. Last years Reading and Leeds headliners proved that they could definitely sell out big arenas and play even more festivals in the top spots. Its great to see them playing a huge gig in hyde park with two other bands that I'm a big fan of. So the other two bands that are playing alongside Mumford are Alabama Shakes who managed to do a clean sweep of Grammys this year and my favourite band Wolf Alice are also playing Hyde Park again this year ! Its a very indie day i'd say but its one of the best days by far if you like that sort of thing.
I think summer gigs are always the highlight of the summer and the ones in Hyde Park have always had a good line up. I would love to go one year as they always seem to have at least one band or artist that i like. I think it would be cool if they had a pop punk headliner one year like All Time Low as that would be amazing if that ever happened.
